  • Forensic readiness, i.e., proactive measures for incident investigations, is concerned with collecting potential evidence from the systems, as well as ensuring its usefulness and indisputability. Such qualities can be implemented by various controls, ranging from simple digital signatures to tamper-evident data structures. Thus, choosing the right approach is quite challenging.
  • The aim of the thesis is to build a structured guideline on forensic readiness controls. It shall include a literature review of existing controls, which shall be organised according to existing models for forensic readiness. Lastly, the guideline shall be applied to a forensic-ready system scenario.
