- The AI component can be a powerful component in information systems. However, it could also be a source of errors or false information, both unintentional (e.g., hallucinations or misclassification) and intentional (e.g., poisoning, evasion), leading to wrong decisions or accidents. When they happen, it is important to find what exactly was the cause, and possibly who to blame. Thus, forensic readiness comes as a proactive measure for incident investigations, ensuring that trustworthy evidence will be available.
- The goal of the thesis is to map and organise sources of potential evidence within the AI-based systems. Specifically, the focus is on what data is available in the systems, how it can be retrieved, and which incidents they are relevant to. Based on the findings, sample evidence patterns shall be synthesised.
