• While AI-based anomaly detection systems can identify abnormal patterns in Smart Infrastructure data, their black-box nature limits operator trust and adoption. This thesis will develop an explainability layer for anomaly detection models to provide interpretable results for security operators. The system will be evaluated based on the clarity of explanations, detection accuracy, and operator usability.
