Comparison of SSI ecosystems

Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) is a decentralised identity model which allows entities to control their identifiable data. This decentralised model offers numerous benefits, but understanding the existing SSI ecosystems is essential for effective adoption. This thesis compares different SSI ecosystems, identifying their key characteristics, potential application scenarios, and limitations. Additionally, the distributed ledgers used for such SSI ecosystems could be compared as one of the criteria for selecting an SSI ecosystem or developing a new one.
